Women's Philanthropy is a creative force for connecting Rochester’s Jewish women through community outreach and resource development. Through our work on behalf of Federation's Annual Campaign, women take a leading role in raising funds—over $1 million annually—to meet the needs of Jews locally, in Israel, and around the world.
Welcome, we are so glad you are here!
We are a representative and inclusive group of women of all ages who are partners in tikkun olam, repairing the world. Collectively, we respond to the needs of our community locally and abroad through fundraising, volunteering and education.
We are proud to be doing this work together. Women are the changemakers and community-shapers of the world, sisters and daughters, mothers and friends, compassionate and committed.
We are honored to lead the community in this important work, and are so grateful to those before us who paved the way. Our shared goal is to foster an environment where every member of our community feels valued, heard, and empowered. We are committed to nurturing an atmosphere of collaboration, where diverse voices and ideas converge to drive meaningful change.
We are eager to learn from you, to hear your thoughts, and to work together toward a future that reflects the values of tzedakah and community. We invite you to reach out to us with your ideas and suggestions.
Warmly,
Lisa Axelrod & Daphne Futerman
The most dynamic group of philanthropic Jewish women in the world, LOJ is an international sisterhood of activists who care deeply about the Jewish future and commit their time, work, and money into shaping it.
The Pomegranate is a symbol of a woman's commitment to—and compassion for—the Jewish people. This is a philanthropic giving level that represents the best of what Federation does: bringing together like-minded donors to do a world of good.
This group is committed to improving the lives of the community through events and programs that inhabit the Jewish value of tikkun olam and inspire action throughout the Greater Rochester area.
