Our Magic of Camp stipend provides up to $1,800 per child, regardless of how many years they have attended Jewish overnight camp.

Q: What are the requirements for my child to receive the Magic of Camp stipend?
A: The Magic of Camp stipend is open to Jewish families from all walks of life in the Rochester area. Each camper must:
Q: Can I receive financial aid from the camp in addition to a Magic of Camp stipend?
A: Yes. Camps maintain their own lists of scholarships and can provide additional assistance. Some synagogues may also provide grants or financial aid.
Q: My child has previously received a Magic of Camp stipend. Are they still eligible to receive it again?
A: Yes!
Q: Can I apply for a Magic of Camp stipend for more than one of my children?
A: Yes. The number of Magic of Camp stipends per family is not limited.
Q: When is the application deadline?
A: There is no deadline for the Magic of Camp stipend but they are provided on a first-come first-serve basis.
Q: How long will it take to be notified that my Magic of Camp stipend application has been approved?
A: Please allow 4-8 weeks. Once your child’s camp registration has been confirmed, funding will be sent directly to the camp starting in late spring and continuing through the summer.
Q: Where do I go if I need more funding?
A: Camp Seneca Lake families may apply for the Mike Nozik Memorial Camp Seneca Lake Scholarship Fund and Chance at Camp-The Lindsay and Jillian Wiener Memorial Scholarship Fund. All other Rochester families attending a Jewish overnight camp outside of the area may apply for Magic of Camp need-based support.
