Climb aboard the Rosh Hashanah Express for an afternoon of fun celebrating Rosh Hashanah - the Jewish New Year!
Ride on a trackless train (adults can ride too!) and learn about the Jewish New Year through a story walk featuring the beloved PJ Book, Engineer Ari and the Rosh Hashanah Ride by Deborah Bodin Cohen.
Meet our own special train engineers - the new Rochester ShinShinim (teen emissaries from Israel), Uri, Dana, Ron, and Yael.
The Rosh Hashanah Train will depart in front of the Wolk Children’s Center Main Entrance. Once your train ride is over, enjoy the Rosh Hashanah Story Walk that will lead throughout the JCC and transport you to the JCC Auditoriums for crafts, activities, and Kosher snacks.
The main program is free and open to everyone. For a small fee ($10/Pot) you can paint your own Honey Pot that will be ready for pick up right before the holiday!
Main Program: 0-9 years old, Paint your own honey pot: 5+
