Are there people you care about with whom you avoid discussing politics? Are you worried about the political divides threatening our democracy? Are you sick of the vicious maligning of the “other”?
Then please consider joining us for a program designed by Resetting the Table. Resetting the table, co-founded in 2014 by Rabbi Melissa Weintraub and Eyal Rabinovitch, is an organization dedicated to building dialogue and deliberation across political divides. On Sept 15 and October 27 Temple Sinai Social Action will offer a two-part opportunity to gather together to view the short film PURPLE followed by introduction of skills designed to break open respectful communication across charged differences-- skills that will then be practiced in facilitated small group discussion using excerpts from the film. We hope you will join us in an experience we believe will move, inspire and even heal some of the wounds of toxic polarization threatening our Democracy and, for many, breaking our hearts.
