L'CHAIM: CELEBRATING JEWISH LIFE
In commemoration of the lives of the victims of the atrocity at the Tree of Life – Or L’Simcha Congregation in Pittsburgh and in solidarity with the Jewish people, the Dryden Theatre at the George Eastman Museum presents seven films celebrating Jewish life. Admission to all screenings is free. This film series is organized by the George Eastman Museum in partnership with the Louis S. Wolk Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester and the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester. May the memory of the eleven victims be for a blessing.
MOVIE: CROSSING DELANCEY
Izzy Grossman is a sophisticated, single New Yorker who has left behind the “old ways” of her Jewish heritage. Working at a Manhattan bookshop where she organizes prestigious author readings, she revels in the society of the intelligentsia and literati who are drawn there.
