When you imagine becoming a parent for the first time, you envision a particular path for your child – school, sports, graduation, college, marriage, to name a few. Additionally, for Jewish parents this includes B’nei Mitzvah, Chuppa and other important life cycle events. However, families with neurodivergent children are often not able to follow this envisioned journey, and this holds particularly true when it comes to participating in Jewish communal life.
We are excited to invite the Rochester Jewish Community to share in a special event where our children and families will showcase talents through their love of Judaism, and to celebrate our differences while building bridges of understanding. Imagine a space where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives.
