“Grandfriends” is an intergenerational program that brings residents of Wolk Manor
at Jewish Senior Life and Roc City Jews together for three events over the summer.
Through our intergenerational programs, Jewish Senior Life residents and the younger
members of our Rochester community have opportunities to connect with and learn
from each other.

Our residents are engaged and active in meaningful interactions with students, are able
to share their lives, experiences and wisdom with them, and put in practice Jewish values
and traditions. By establishing social connections, our residents’ feeling of belonging,
self-esteem and well-being increases.
