Brighton Stands Against Antisemitism and the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester Proudly Announce Completion and Success of The Blue Light Project for 2022.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester and Brighton Stands Against Antisemitism (BSAA) today announced that approximately 1,000 light bulbs have been distributed to Rochester-area community members in connection with the “The Blue Light Project”, a collaboration of the Jewish Federation and BSAA that calls on Rochester area residents of all faiths to proudly stand together in the fight against increasing antisemitism. If you have a blue light shining in your window, please keep it turned on through the conclusion of the 7:00pm candle lighting ceremony at the 2022 Yom HaShoah Ceremony and Keynote Address to be held in person at Monroe Community College, building 4, 1000 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14623 and via Zoom (advance registration is required at jewishrochester.org/events). At sunset on Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day, The Blue Light Project will conclude for 2022.

Jewish Federation CEO Meredith Dragon Presented with Rochester Business Journal's "Women of Excellence" Award

Rochester Business Journal has selected Meredith Dragon, CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester, as a Women of Excellence honoree. The Women of Excellence awards recognize high-achieving women for their career accomplishments including professional experience, community involvement, leadership and sustained commitment to mentoring. The winners were selected by a panel of judges comprised of previous Circle of Excellence honorees.

Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester and Brighton Stands Against Antisemitism Launch "The Blue Light Project"

The Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester and Brighton Stands Against Antisemitism (BSAA) today announced that over 613 light bulbs have been distributed to Rochester-area community members for “The Blue Light Project” a Jewish Federation and BSAA collaboration, that calls on people living in the Rochester area to proudly stand together in solidarity in the fight against increasing  antisemitism , both around the world and here in Rochester. The Blue Light Project began at the end of Hanukkah and continues through International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27, 2022 (designated by the United Nations to remember the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust).
