Community Gathering in Support of Israeli Teens, June 22

Solidarity and Prayer Planned for Israeli Teens this Sunday

The Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester will sponsor a community gathering in solidary and prayer for three recently kidnapped Israeli teens this Sunday, June 22nd, hosted by Temple Beth El, 139 S. Winton Road, at 2:00 PM. All are welcome.

Israeli yeshiva students Eyal Yifrach (19), Gilad Shaar (16), and Naftali Frenkel (16) were last seen on Thursday, June 16 at a hitchhiking post near their school in the West Bank, located about halfway between Jerusalem and Hebron. They reportedly got into a car at about 10:15 p.m. They remain missing.

"We are deeply saddened as the search continues for the three teens," said Federation President Michael D. Grossman. "We join all those who condemn acts of terror and this senseless crime, and we invite all to join us for this gathering in solidarity with them and their families."
