Resources for Jewish Educators through JES

Resources from the Jewish Education Services Department Library and Media Center are available to the community.  Printed materials may be borrowed for up to three weeks; videos and CD Roms for one week.  Topics include pedagogy; Bible and commentary; Jewish history, holidays and life cycle; values and ethics; Israel; contemporary Jewry; and Hebrew.  Consultants are on hand to help visitors find materials.

In 2003-2004 the Jewish Community Federation made a direct allocation to each supplementary school for professional growth. In addition, there are a number of community wide conferences to address a target population of local educators, e.g., early childhood, Hebrew, Israel curriuculum, etc.
