Do you like hands-on, time limited volunteering? The Federation is collecting the names of individuals who are interested in being volunteers at large community events to do things such as greet participants, help set up, work with kids on projects, hand out programs, etc…
Sound like something you'd like to do?
If you sign up to be on this list, we will call or email you when there is a big community event coming up (approx. 6 times a year). We will let you know about the event and the times when we need volunteers. When you arrive at the event the volunteer coordinator will let you know what we need you to do and make sure you are comfortable with your job.
That’s all there is to it, no regular meetings, just come, help out and have fun!
Another way of getting involved is volunteering with the Rochester Jewish Coalition for Literacy. Want to learn more about tutoring Rochester city school students on their reading? Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.We also need volunteers periodically to complete large community mailings. Mailings take place during the day for 1 - 3 hours of time. Training is provided.
Please let us know if we can call on you to help with any of the above needs by emailing Wendy Strauss, email@example.com. If you prefer, call Wendy at 461-0490, ext. 236.
